Legal information

Privacy policy

We only need information required to arrange your trip: where to pick you up, where to take you and how to contact you. This policy explains what happens to that information.

01Who controls your data

The data controller is Pajūrio Taxi. For questions about this policy, email [email protected] or call +370 665 07778.

02What data we collect

Depending on your choices, we process the following data:

  • When you submit the booking form: your name, phone number, email address and message.
  • When you call or message us on Viber or WhatsApp: your phone number and the details you share, usually the pickup point, destination, time and passenger count.
  • Automatically: your IP address, used only to limit how many enquiries can be sent from the same address in a short period and prevent automated spam.
  • In a cookie: your cookie preferences.
  • Only if you consent to analytics cookies: Google Analytics collects site usage statistics such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and browser and device details.
  • Only if you consent to marketing cookies: marketing tools may use online identifiers and information about your interactions with the site to measure or tailor advertising campaigns. Specific providers and data will be listed before these tools are enabled.

You do not need to register or create an account. We do not collect payment details; you pay the driver in the car.

03Why we process it

Each processing activity has a purpose and legal basis:

  • To accept your booking, agree on a fare and provide the ride: performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To contact you about booking details or changes: performance of a contract.
  • To protect the form from spam and abuse using the IP address: our legitimate interest in keeping the form operational (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To collect Google Analytics statistics: only with your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • To use marketing cookies: only with your separate consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • If a dispute or inspection arises: to establish or defend legal claims, or to meet a legal obligation.

04How long we keep data

  • Booking correspondence: up to 12 months after the trip, then deleted.
  • The IP-address marker used to prevent spam: no longer than 10 minutes; it is held only in server memory and is not written to disk.
  • The cookie storing your preferences: one year, after which we ask again.
  • The retention period for Google Analytics data depends on the analytics account settings.

05Who receives data

We do not sell booking details or use them for direct marketing. Cookie-based analytics and marketing tools operate only with your consent:

  • Resend, the provider that delivers booking form emails to us. Resend operates in the United States, so data is transferred outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses.
  • Google, the provider of Google Analytics. Analytics data is sent to Google and may be processed outside the European Economic Area under Google's data processing terms.
  • Marketing service providers and their privacy information will be named before the relevant tags are enabled. Tags are not loaded without your consent.
  • Our website hosting provider, whose server runs this site.
  • If you contact us through Viber or WhatsApp, their own privacy policies apply to your message. If you prefer not to use them, call or email us.

06Your rights

You can:

  • access your data and obtain a copy;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • request erasure;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • receive your data in a standard format and transfer it to another provider;
  • withdraw cookie consent; this does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

Contact us at [email protected] or +370 665 07778; we will reply within 30 days. You may complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt) if you are not satisfied with our response.

07Cookies

The essential pt-slapukai cookie stores your essential, analytics and marketing cookie choices for one year so we do not need to show the consent window on every visit.

If you allow analytics cookies, the Google Analytics tag loads. It uses _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions; by default they can last up to two years. This period can be changed in Google Analytics settings and may be shortened by browsers.

If you do not allow analytics cookies, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. If you do not allow marketing cookies, marketing tags are not loaded. The names, providers and expiry periods of specific marketing cookies will be listed here when the relevant service is connected.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time — .
